Order issued to Nortech Advanced NDT Ltd.

The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) issued an order on September 28, 2023, to Nortech Advanced NDT Ltd. The company holds a CNSC licence for the possession, transfer, use and storage of exposure devices and is based in Edmonton, Alberta.
The order was issued during a field inspection in Grande Prairie, Alberta. The order prohibits a certified exposure device operator from engaging in supervisory duties and any operation of an exposure device until the licensee can demonstrate, to the CNSC’s satisfaction, that this worker no longer poses a safety risk to themselves, fellow workers or members of the public. The licensee must also verify that all workers have been provided sufficient training in the licensee’s operational procedures.
