Administrative monetary penalty issued to Sirati & Partners Consultants Ltd.

On April 15, 2025, the CNSC issued an administrative monetary penalty (AMP) of $6,460 to Sirati & Partners Consultants Ltd. The company holds a CNSC licence for the possession, transfer, use and storage of portable nuclear gauges.

The AMP was issued to Sirati & Partners Consultants Ltd. for failing to immediately notify the CNSC when a worker exceeded an applicable dose limit prescribed by section 13 or 14 of the Radiation Protection Regulations.

On December 5, 2024, CNSC staff conducted an inspection at the licensee's facility and discovered that 1 worker had exceeded a dose limit. This dose limit exceedance was not previously identified by the licensee nor was it immediately reported to the CNSC as required by the Radiation Protection Regulations.

The licensee has a history of this non-compliance, as it was also cited during a November 2023 inspection for failing to immediately notify the CNSC of a worker dose limit exceedance.

This AMP is being issued to Sirati & Partners Consultants Ltd. to promote compliance and to deter reoccurrence.
