The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) issued an order on May 7, 2024, to 1908273 Ontario Ltd, operating as Vitalim Diagnostic Imaging. The company, based in Vaughan, Ontario, holds a CNSC licence for the possession, transfer, import, export, use and storage of nuclear substances and prescribed equipment for diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures.

The order was issued following an inspection at the licensee’s location in Vaughan. The order requires the licensee to keep all sealed radioactive sources currently in its possession in secure storage and prohibits the licensee from using, transferring, importing or exporting radioactive materials until it has demonstrated, to the CNSC’s satisfaction, adequate management oversight of its radiation protection program.
