REGDOC-2.10.1, Nuclear Emergency Preparedness and Response, version 2 was published in February 2016. While there will be no impact on any REGDOC-2.10.1 requirements and guidance, this update aligns with version 2 of REGDOC-2.3.2, Accident Management – which had been created to clarify requirements. Most changes in version 2 of REGDOC-2.10.1 are in reference to REGDOC-2.3.2 as version 2. View the October 2014 News Release for more information.

Nuclear Emergency Preparedness and Response sets out the emergency preparedness requirements and guidance of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) related to the development of emergency measure for licensees and licence applicants of Class I nuclear facilities and uranium mines and mills. Developed as part of the CNSC's Fukushima Action Plan, this document contains stronger emergency preparedness requirements and guidance that cover all aspects of emergency preparedness. This document focuses on licensees preparations and plans for responding to a nuclear emergency, in order to protect workers, the public and the environment.
