Summary

REGDOC-2.5.6, Design of Rooms Where Unsealed Nuclear Substances Are Used, clarifies requirements and provides guidance and a recommended approach for meeting the room design requirements in paragraph 3(1)(l) of the Nuclear Substances and Radiation Devices Regulations. It also clarifies requirements and provides guidance on performing radiation dose estimates to keep doses as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA), pursuant to paragraph 4(a) of the Radiation Protection Regulations.
