Summary
REGDOC-3.5.4 describes the pre-licensing review process for assessing a vendor’s reactor design. The review considers the areas of design that relate to reactor safety, security and safeguards and can provide early identification and resolution of potential regulatory or technical issues in the design process, particularly those that could result in significant changes to the design or safety analysis.
This document supersedes GD-385, Pre-Licensing of a Vendor’s Reactor Design, published in May 2012.
