Empowering Women in STEM: Experiences from the UAE and Canada
Join us on January 24, 2023, for a webinar co-hosted by the CNSC, the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates to Canada and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC).
The event will showcase Canadian and Emirati women who are at different stages of their education and career in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The webinar will be moderated by His Excellency Fahad Saeed Al Raqbani, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Canada, and Rumina Velshi, CNSC President and CEO. It will consist of an hour-long interactive discussion with the panellists.
The overarching objectives of the event are to:
- empower and encourage women to pursue an education and career in STEM
- highlight the importance of seeking gender equity in STEM
- showcase the contributions of the UAE and Canada
