Point Lepreau webinar

Join the CNSC on November 16, 2021, for a webinar on the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station, operated by New Brunswick Power (NB Power).

This webinar will provide information about NB Power’s application to renew its nuclear facility operating licence for a 25 year period, with no proposed changes to current operations or consideration of new nuclear projects. The existing licence will expire on June 30, 2022.

The purpose of this webinar is to:

• provide information on NB Power’s renewal application
• provide information on specific safety and control areas
• explain how the public, Indigenous groups and potential intervenors can participate in the upcoming hearings on January 26 and May 11–12, 2022
