The Near Surface Disposal Facility (NSDF)
Proposal to construct a Near Surface Disposal Facility at the CNL Chalk River Laboratories site, located in the town of Deep River, Ontario. The facility is proposed to only accept low-level radioactive waste for disposal. The proposed NSDF is expected to be operational for approximately 50 years.
The Nuclear Power Demonstration (NPD) Closure Project
Proposed licence amendment, to fully decommission the NPD Waste Facility through an in-situ (leaving in place) approach. The NPD facility is located in the town of Rolphton, Ontario.
