Webinar: CNSC Accessibility Plan – Design and Delivery of Programs and Services
Join us on January 11 for a webinar on the CNSC Accessibility Plan – Design and Delivery of Programs and Services. In December 2022, in accordance with the Federal Accessible Canada Act, the CNSC published its inaugural accessibility plan. This strategic document spells out how the CNSC will identify, remove and prevent physical, systemic and cultural barriers to accessibility within the organization. The plan discusses the CNSC’s commitment to improving accessibility for persons with disabilities, in 7 key areas.
In one of the key areas, the design and delivery of programs and services, we are seeking feedback from people with disabilities, Indigenous Nations and communities and stakeholders, including members of the public, industry, and civil society organizations, on:
- the barriers that we have identified in the design and delivery of programs and services, and any we may have overlooked
- the actions that we have identified to overcome and remove these barriers, and any additional actions that may help achieve this goal
The webinar will cover:
- the Accessible Canada Act
- contents of the CNSC Accessibility Plan 2022–25
- barriers and actions to alleviate, on the design and delivery of programs and services
- answers to questions from members of the public
