Webinar: NB Power's ARC-100 licence application
Join us in September, for a webinar on the licensing review of NB Power’s ARC-100 project at the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station site.
In June 2023, NB Power submitted a licence to prepare site application to the CNSC for the potential deployment of one ARC-100 small modular reactor at the existing Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station site. A provincial environmental impact assessment (EIA) must be conducted for the project under the Government of New Brunswick’s comprehensive EIA review process, with technical support from the CNSC.
The purpose of this webinar is to:
- familiarize the public with the project and its activities
- discuss NB Power’s licence to prepare site application and give an update on the CNSC’s technical review
- provide information on the upcoming participant funding opportunities and future engagement events for the project
- answer questions about the project and the regulatory process
