In May 2024, Nordion (Canada) Inc. submitted an application seeking a renewal of its Class IB nuclear substance processing facility operating licence for its facility located at 447 March Road, Ottawa, Ontario, for a period of 25 years. That facility manufactures cobalt-60 sealed sources, producing gamma rays that are used in the sterilization and irradiation processes for the medical device, pharmaceutical, food safety and high-performance materials industries.

The purpose of this webinar is to:

• discuss the CNSC’s licensing process
• answer questions from members of the public
