|
Findings of audits completed in 2020-21 | The PFP is undergoing an internal audit that is expected to be completed in September 2021. |
Findings of evaluations completed in 2020-21 | N/A – The CNSC’s Grants & Contribution Program falls below the reference level established by the Policy on Results for evaluation of ongoing G&Cs programs of $5M average expenditure per year. |
Engagement of applicants and recipients in 2020-21 | After each Commission proceeding at which participant funding was awarded, CNSC staff sent surveys to all recipients to obtain their feedback on the PFP and how it could be improved. Results were analyzed and summarized through feedback notes from those who completed the survey. This feedback will help inform how the program is delivered for future PFP opportunities. |

Explanation of variances |
*Variance is mainly due to delays to projects caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. **The PFP exceeded its planned spending as it continued to provide funding in relation to multiple ongoing environmental assessments under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, 2012; increased interest from members of the public and Indigenous groups in participating in CNSC regulatory processes; and continued relationship building with Indigenous groups with respect to Commission proceedings. |
