Nuclear facility – McClean Lake Operation
The McClean Lake Operation began in 1999, with the mining and milling of uranium ore from 5 open-pit mines. No conventional mining has been carried out at McClean Lake since 2008. Uranium ore mined at the Cigar Lake Mine is processed at the McClean Lake Mill.
The uranium tailings from this operation are managed at the JEB Tailings Management Facility.
